Come To The Chili Cookoff!

Grand Aire’s 10th Annual Chili Cook-off will be on Thursday, February 9th from Noon to 2:00pm. It’s for a good cause (Honor Flight of NW Ohio) and gets bigger and better each year. The public is invited to participate in this fun charitable event. All we ask is for a minimum $2 donation at the door for all the Chili you can eat. 100% of the proceeds go to help Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio send veterans to view the memorials in Washington DC. Where else can you get lunch for $2 and support a great cause? As the home of Honor Flight at Toledo Express Grand Aire will match ALL donations!

If you are interested in entering your chili in the Cook-off, we have some great prizes for the best entries based on an independent three judge panels’ decision. The Grand Prize for the best of the best is two roundtrip tickets on Direct Air anywhere in the continental United States. There is no fee for entering but you’ll need to provide a typical crockpot of chili.

We’re also having a ‘Best Name’ competition as well this year. If you are entering your Chili please give it a great name and let us know by February 5th so we can make space for all the entries. Be sure to have your best Chili at Grand Aire between 11:00 – 11:30am on the 9th.

Grand Aire is located at 11777 W. Airport Service Road at Toledo Express Airport, 43558. You can enter the airport property at the entrance across from the SR 295 intersection ‘ large sign for the Toledo Public School’s Flight School on the south side of Airport Highway.
